Corona Virus: Now What?

Covid-19, known as the Coronavirus, has changed everything. I know we are all washing our hands, but we can also take the time to cleanse and reset our spirits, take a deep breathe and remember, this too will pass.

What can we do?

  • Stay Home.

  • Follow the precautions recommended by the CDC:

    • Wash your hands frequently with soap and warm water, for at least 20 seconds, or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer when soap and water are not available. (You can sing Happy Birthday twice to make sure you’re washing your hands long enough.)

    • Keep your hands and fingers away from your eyes, nose, and mouth, as much as possible. This is hard, so help each other out.

  • Have fun!

  • Remind yourself that even though this situation is confusing, scary and hard, it is also temporary, and it’s ok to lighten things up with fun. In fact, it’s a necessity.

    • Have a dance party.

    • Play a game.

    • Teach your dog a trick.

    • Read a joke book.

    • Watch silly cat videos.

All sessions will be through Teletherapy for the next few weeks.

  • Before this virus became an issue, I had already signed up for a HIPPA approved TeleHealth program. The only difference is that I will be sitting in my home or office, and you’ll be in your own home. You’ll need to make your own tea, but other than that, we’ll keep working together. Chazz will be napping nearby, I’m sure as will all of the other pets in our home.

  • If you don’t want to meet this way, that is totally fine. It’s definitely something we’ll be getting used to. But know that we are here to support you if you need it.
